What does pre-order/on-demand mean?
On-demand production means we don’t produce any more or any less than what is ordered.
This means that every time we launch a new style or restock items that are in high demand, we wait for new orders to come in to begin producing.
This is the most sustainable way of shopping because it creates 0% excess products.
This is why we give you up to 20% off pre-order styles in order to encourage on-demand shopping.
Why do you offer pre-orders/on-demand on some items and others not?
There are two reasons why we offer this.
(1) Some of our styles are in extremely high demand or some new product launches are anticipated to sell out very quickly so by offering pre-orders during certain periods, gives everyone a chance to order our most sought after styles and guarantees the purchase so you don’t miss out!
(2) We also understand that it’s nice to be able to order an item and receive it within days - that’s why we like to keep products stocked but in limited numbers in order to minimize overproduction.
How does pre-order/on-demand work?
Not all items are eligible for pre-order so the way you will know if the item you want to purchase is accepting pre-orders is if the 'ADD TO CART' button has been replaced by a 'PRE-ORDER' button.
Here’s how to place a pre-order:
Step 1: Purchase your pre-order on [please take note of the expected delivery time and our return policy before placing an order]
Step 2: Our team and partners begin preparing the order
Step 3: Once we have put the finishing touches on your order and items are shipped to our warehouse
Step 4: Our team packs your pre-order and dispatches out upon the next available ship-out date
How long do I wait to receive my pre-order?
You can check estimated shipping times on every individual product page.
Please bear in mind that since these products are made to order, they are produced from scratch to avoid waste and overproduction hence why expected delivery time, on average, ranges from 3-6 weeks.
Other factors that may affect delivery timeline are logistical delays in the supply chain which is something we cannot control.
Where are you based?
A5: LUXMII is a global brand.
Our founder is Australian and all of our designs are created in both Australia and Europe. Our in-house team is split between Australia, Portugal and Greece so as to keep a close connection to our suppliers, partners and producers.
At current, our dispatch warehouse is located in Australia however we will be expanding into Europe in order to meet growing demand from other countries.
How is on-demand sustainable?
On-demand, if not, is the most sustainable production method out there because instead of making clothes en masse, we wait for orders to come in so we can produce
exactly the amount that is asked for.
This way we don’t have any leftover stock or fabric - most brands burn this or take it to landfills, a massive threat to our ecosystem.
Beautiful but see through
I love the design of this dress. What was not obvious to me from the picture is that it is quite see through. I’ll have to wear a slip underneath it - which kind of defeats the idea of a cool summery dress.
